Join Footprints for Peace this April at Three Mile Island, Limerick, Fort Lee, NJ or the George Washington Bridge!
Footprints for Peace is a walk for a nuclear-free future that began in February in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and will arrive at the nuclear non-proliferation meetings at the United Nations in New York on May 1.
The walkers have been joined by many people at various steps along the way, and this is your chance to join them near your communities.
On April 13 from 7-9 pm, there will be an event at Presbyterian Church on Market Square in Harrisburg, PA. The film Climate of Hope will be shown, and there will be various speakers.
The next morning, April 14, walkers will gather at Market Square at 8:30 am and go to the gates of Three Mile Island for an action.
From April 19-21, the walk will be in Pottstown, PA, and an action is planned at the Limerick reactor.
On April 30, the walk will be in Fort Lee, New Jersey for a major event with speakers including NIRS’ Mary Olson.
The next morning, May 1, people will gather on the west side of the George Washington Bridge at 9:30 am for the final walk into Manhattan and the U.N.
